Seed Wholesale Enquiries Explained for Retail Buyers
Sending a seed enquiry is the first step in a wholesale conversation, not a purchase. This overview follows the route from catalogue selection to quotation so retail buyers know what each stage means, what is stored, and where final prices are confirmed.
What an Enquiry Is and Is Not
The catalogue lets business customers select varieties and quantities and then send a non-binding enquiry. Adding items to the basket or submitting the form does not create a purchase contract. An automated acknowledgement only confirms that the enquiry has been received for review. No payment is taken through the website, and supply terms are agreed separately in the quotation and subsequent agreement.
Where Listed Prices Sit in the Process
Listed prices and quantity tiers appear on variety pages, species lists and quick enquiry pages. These catalogue figures help you plan, but they do not confirm current stock or final costs. Availability, pack sizes, prices, applicable taxes, shipping charges and payment terms are all specified in the quotation after your requested items, quantities and destination have been reviewed.
What Happens to Your Basket
Your selection is stored in the browser until you remove it, clear browser data or successfully submit it. Contact details are not saved in the basket. You can edit quantities or remove items before sending. If the form cannot send, the selection remains in the basket; follow the displayed message and contact the supplier with the enquiry reference before trying again if delivery could not be confirmed.
Details That Make a Quotation Possible
Include your business name and contact details, the destination country and postal code, and the items you want. Identify items by botanical name, variety and catalogue reference, with quantity and unit for each, so similarly named varieties can be distinguished. Tell the supplier about requested pack sizes, labelling language and delivery date. These details help review shipping options and the documents needed for the proposed shipment.
Corrections and Order Questions
If you need to correct an enquiry after sending it, email the supplier with its reference. For a question about an agreed order, include the order or quotation reference and describe the issue. For a product complaint, include the item and batch references if available. For returns, contact the supplier before sending goods back so the return address and procedure can be clarified; statutory rights are not limited by that step.
Starting Without an Account
No account is needed. Select items in the catalogue and provide your business contact details when you send the enquiry. You can also ask about an unlisted variety by sending the botanical or variety name, quantity and destination. The catalogue is intended for seed retailers, garden shops and resellers purchasing seeds for resale.
